Job Description: Ryan Companies has an immediate opening for a Senior Construction Accountant to join our team in Minneapolis! The Senior Construction Accountant supports the regions and sectors by providing accounting oversight for construction projects. This role reports to the Director, Construction Accounting and collaborates and partners with team members across the organization. This position requires 4 days per week in the office, with 1 day of remote work each week. Some things you can expect to do: Provide oversight that accounting for projects meets GAAP requirements Maintain projections for projects on a a Work in Place and Financial Reporting basis Monthly preparation of construction financial reports on a a Work in Place and Financial Reporting basis Reconcile and validate reporting across multiple systems Manage overall accounts receivable exposure on construction jobs Support annual budgeting process for construction and field lines of business Partner with regional teams on profit projections, variance analysis, contingency reporting, over/under billing, pay applications, accounts receivable and legal matters Collaboration with Operational Excellence on cross-department initiatives Partner with Corporate Accounting and FP&A on quarterly and year end reporting Ensure project properties are maintained resulting in accurate reporting Support ad hoc reporting and projects as needed Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or business related field of study. 5+ years of experience in accounting with a working knowledge of GAAP including percent complete accounting for construction contracts. Construction accounting background and experience with Enterprise systems (SAP, JD Edwards, etc.) required. Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Eligibility: Positions require verification of employment eligibility to work in the U.S. Compensation: The annual base pay is $74,200 - $92,750. The base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission and/or an incentive program.
