Job responsibilities include evaluating scientific progress for funded projects, performing program-benchmarking analysis, conducting literature reviews, and completing occasional market analysis or other similar research for select funded projects and proposals. The Scientific Assistant is expected to be available up to 5 hours per week. All work is computer-based and done remotely with flexible working hours. Training will be provided. Qualifications All required qualifications must be documented on application materials. Bachelor's degree. Advanced degree in the life sciences or graduate student pursuing an advanced degree in the health sciences (e.g. PhD students). Knowledge and interest in translational research and commercialization. Strong organizational and written communication skills. Attention to detail. Enthusiasm and willingness to take on new challenges. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google programs. Ability to work independently. About the Department The Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) established the Office of Discovery and Translation (ODAT) in 2011 to accelerate the translation and implementation of health-related innovations through funding and support programs. Since this time, ODAT has become a center of expertise for the development and administration of funding programs focused on advancing research and discoveries to improve human health.
