Paladin Technologies Sales Tax Manager in Minneapolis, Minnesota
You will be responsible for all sales/use tax and property tax reporting for Paladin Technologies. GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Work in compliance with the Company’s policies and procedures including safety manual, with safety of self and others in mind at all times.
Available to work outside of, or in addition to, normal business hours.
Maintain and protect assigned company assets.
Represent Company in a business-like professional manner in both conduct and appearance, to maximize client satisfaction.
SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES
Research and analyze relevant sales/use tax laws by state and regulations to ensure all customers and all locations are properly charged for sales/use taxes, including correct classification as taxable or exempt
Inventory and track customer exemption certificates to ensure validity & track their expiration
Manager the monthly filing of quarterly and annual tax returns
Develop and modify tax codes for new product types as needed
Research and analyze relevant sales/use tax laws by state to ensure all customers are properly charged; including correct classification as exempt or not exempt.
Assist in the preparation of and filing unclaimed property, corporation annual reports and business license filings
Manage all sales/tax audits from all jurisdictions
Maintain use tax matrix for non-equipment purchases
Maintain the tracking of use tax paid on equipment by state/county
Reconcile and analyze applicable tax general ledger accounts
Approve tax credit requests from customers
Set up and maintain all customer accounts with correct sales/use tax schedules and detail
SUPERVISORY DUTIES: In accordance with applicable Company policies/procedures and Federal/State laws, will perform the following supervisory responsibilities: planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching and appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
5+ years accounting and/or sales/use tax experience
Exceptional data entry & ten key experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel and Word
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years supervisory experience
1 year Contractor Percentage Completion Accounting Experience

Pay: $120,000 - $160,000 (DOE)
