Fairview Health Services Rehabilitation Supervisor - Occupational Therapy NICU in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Overview

We are seeking a Rehabilitation Supervisor for the Occupational Therapy team across our NICU M Health Fairview system! M Health Fairview Occupational Therapists are an integrated team member in all our NICU’s, and work with a range of diagnosis and conditions. This role provides opportunities to work and lead in our NICU’s at the M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital and our four community sites - M Health Fairview Southdale, M Health Fairview Ridges, M Health St John’s, and M Health Woodwinds Hospitals! The supervisor is responsible for staff development, performance management, managing resources, hospital operations, regulatory oversite, and leadership. In collaboration with the patients and families, the supervisor is responsible for providing safe and effective delivery of patient care within scope of practice for Occupational Therapy in the NICU setting. This includes examination, evaluation, diagnosis, planning, intervention and establishing outcomes.

  • FTE 0.9, authorized for 72 hours per pay period. 0.4 administration and 0.5 patient care

  • Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 7:00-4:30 (no weekend commitment)

M Health Fairview Rehabilitation offers a broad range of services that serve patients across 10 acute-care hospitals, 3 post-acute settings and 70 outpatient adult and pediatric therapy clinics. Consisting of Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy as well as Audiology and Cardiac & Pulmonary Rehab, our therapists collaborate with colleagues in all medical settings and offer dozens of specialty programs.

Responsibilities Job Description

Financial and Productivity Management

manages day to day staffing to achieve productivity targets, schedule utilization and show rate Staffing – identify volume needs and staffs appropriately

Understanding of financial metrics including monthly reporting and contributes to success of department financials

Responsible for day to day operations including but not limited to p-card oversite, supply ordering to stay within budget targets

Manages Performance

Conducts annual performance reviews with direct reports, working collaboratively with director on appropriate ratings/increases

Provides direct reports ongoing feedback and coaching throughout the year

Conducts crucial conversations

Cascades goal from work plan with assigned staff

Collaborates with director on formal Corrective Action issues

Staff Development

Manages relationships with students/student coordinator

Demonstrates knowledge of department operations

HR/Payroll systems management

Qualifications

Required

One year experience in Rehab Services Clinician role

Active MN licensure in a field of Rehabilitation Services, Audiology, Pulmonary Rehabilitation, or Cardiac Rehabilitation

Active Basic Life Support Certification

Preferred

Occupational Therapy Licensure in State of Minnesota or temporary license

Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy

1+ year leadership experience

1+ year (s) NICU/PICU and/or infant feeding experience

Certification with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy

3+ years experience
