Kurita s corporate philosophy is to study the properties of water, master them and create an environment in which nature and humanity are in harmony We have an immediate need for a Quality Control Inspector in Water Treatment industry located in Brooklyn Park, MN. Responsibilities * Record daily testing results and maintain test equipment in the quality control laboratory. * Record results of daily calibration of quality control equipment according to current ISO 9001 operating procedures. * Testing effluent samples to ensure the representative characteristics are monitored. * Print, verify, and separate product labels after the product batch testing is complete. * Ensure that product returns are tested, processed, and recorded according to current ISO 9001 operating procedures. * Coordinate in-house calibration of laboratory equipment and outsourced calibration of specialty laboratory equipment. * Calculate any adjustments to chemical batches with assistance from Technology Department, if necessary, to ensure final product meets acceptable testing criteria. * Participate in collaboration with chemical technology department to improve chemical manufacturing practices. * Provide detailed reporting of product non-conformities. * Follow and comply with all safety rules, work responsibilities, and regulations. * Maintain department housekeeping standards. * Performs special projects as assigned by supervisor. Qualifications 1. Technical background preferred 2. Experience working in a production environment a plus Physical and Mental requirements: Being able to do the following in a safe and effective manner. * Climbing, ascending, and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and industrial equipment, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. * Reaching and extending hands and arms in any direction. * Standing and walking for sustained periods of time. * Pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, and stooping for sustained periods of time. * Using upper extremities to move objects and equipment with steady force. * Sometimes working in temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour.
