Reporting directly to the Vice Provost, the PM plans, executes, and evaluates complex projects that support enrollment strategy and streamlined operations. The PM is responsible for providing analysis and consultation on a variety of administrative matters that have significant, campus-wide impact. The PM conducts research and fact-finding to independently make decisions that are guided by policies, procedures, and defined objectives with minimal oversight from the Vice Provost. This role requires knowledge of project management practices, with a particular emphasis on Agile methodologies. The PM will lead initiatives that impact collegiate and campus-wide operations, applying analytical and consulting expertise to improve processes, make data-driven recommendations, and achieve high-impact outcomes. This position oversees critical projects, with a measurable impact on resource allocation, quality improvement, and efficiency. The role requires highly flexible and innovative problem-solving to address evolving challenges and supports operational changes that improve enrollment management services. The PM works independently and is ultimately accountable for the successful and timely execution of assigned projects. This is a 100% time, 12-month, on-campus, annually renewable appointment in the academic administrative (P&A) employee group. The job classification for this position will be Administrative Consultant/Analyst 2 (9341A2). Primary Responsibilities: Project Management (70%): * Oversee multiple complex projects simultaneously, providing oversight and direction. Use Agile project management principles to guide teams through iterative cycles of planning, execution, and review. * Conduct in-depth analyses to identify opportunities for operational improvements within the Office of Enrollment Management. Make recommendations for policy changes and process enhancements that drive efficiency and effectiveness. * Act as a consultant to senior leadership on enrollment-related operations and policy matters. Develop and recommend policies and procedures that improve service delivery, align with institutional goals, and support continuous improvement. * Lead project teams and committees with the authority to assign, schedule, direct, and evaluate the work of colleagues. Directly manage student employees, as appropriate. * Independently resolve issues and problems on behalf of senior leadership. Serve as an enrollment management liaison to other Twin Cities campus departments, the Greater Minnesota campuses, and external stakeholders. Lead efforts to manage relationships with government and community agencies, fostering partnerships that support enrollment initiatives. Administrative & Operations Leadership (30%): * Serve as a liaison with senior leaders, faculty, staff, students, and multiple diverse internal and external constituencies. * Analyze budgetary and financial information to make informed recommendations, aligning resource allocation with strategic enrollment goals. * Ensure compliance with University and regulatory policies by overseeing data collection and reporting requirements. * Develop presentations and write summaries for the Vice Provost. * Assume additional responsibilities or duties as assigned by the Vice Provost. Work Days: Most work is conducted during normal business hours, Monday through Friday. However, evening and weekend work is occasionally required, as necessary, to properly execute the duties of this role. Work Mode: In-person, on-campus. Occasional remote work may be accommodated at the discretion of the Vice Provost fo Enrollment Management when such remote work is in the interest of the University. Qualifications Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of experience. * Advanced proficiency in Agile project management. * Strong analytical skills with the ability to independently evaluate complex data and operational scenarios. * Ability and political acumen to balance competing demands, priorities, and the needs of multiple stakeholders. * Demonstrated experience developing presentations and writing summaries. * Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills to support successful and positive engagement with stakeholders and cross-functional teams. * Ability to work independently within established guidelines, make decisions according to policies and procedures, and exercise judgment in recommending procedural changes. Preferred Qualifications: * Demonstrated experience with Agile project management software (e.g., Asana, ClickUp, Trello). * Demonstrated experience working in a complex, decentralized environment. About the Department The Office of Enrollment Management is responsible for achieving the academic, diversity, headcount, and financial goals for undergraduate enrollment on the Twin Cities campus. This is achieved through the strategic recruitment, admission, and enrollment of new students from high school and transfer students from other higher education institutions. The Office of Enrollment Management is also responsible for the administration of new student scholarships for the Twin Cities campus and works collaboratively on enrollment matters across the University of Minnesota system.
