Responsible for developing a strategic approach to the corporate procurement and materials management process for the purchase of direct and indirect goods and services for the entire company. Administer procurement and travel software, designated corporate programs, and supplier diversity efforts for company. Analyze changes and trends to utilize best practices and maintain sustainable resources. Lead all procurement and T&E spend policies in a cost effective, best total value approach and lead a well trained and motivated team of colleagues. In keeping with the Board of Directors mandates to enhance ESG reporting and tracking, the Director of Procurement shall be responsible for coordinating the capturing, indexing, and reporting of science-based, measurable, and comparable sustainability outcomes across the company for consumables, waste, and carbon outputs - based on purchased commodities, recycling, travel, and other activity. Specifically accountable for capturing new and recycled paper use, paper shredding and disposal measures, other waste measure (garbage, water, food, etc.), Kilowatt hour electric and BTU gas use energy measures, and carbon output estimates related to vehicle and air travel mileage. In keeping with the Board of Directors mandate to enhance our Environmental outcomes and reduce ASB waste and carbon footprint, the Procurement Senior Manager shall be responsible for engaging with business units to set goals related to reductions in the environmental impact of business operations. Leader will identify new strategies for reducing inputs, consumption, and waste across the enterprise. Provide leadership and management of Associated's methodologies and measurement approaches. Drives cross-company programs to reduce environmental impacts and sources solutions to minimize the environmental impacts of our operations through thoughtful and disciplined sourcing and purchasing management. Given the expanded need for operational changes resulting from the above actions, the Director of Procurement is expected to have extensive change management expertise and experience. This person will, Lead strategic procurement initiatives; new programs, products, and services and create change management plans. Create and maintain programs and procedures for category procurement, travel, supplier diversity, cafeteria, vehicles, cable, corporate card, and third party expenses. Define and influence category strategy to achieve business goals and objectives. Oversight and administration for e-procurement and Travel software for company. Responsible for engaging with business units to set goals related to reductions in the environmental impact of business operations. Drives cross-company programs to reduce environmental impacts and sources solutions to minimize the environmental impacts of our operations through thoughtful and disciplined sourcing and purchasing management. Oversight of contractual agreements for purchase of goods and services. Manage annual supply expenditures in excess of $30,000,000. Work directly with the corporation's legal staff and Supplier Management on all corporate contracts ensuring that they are reviewed for legal accuracy, corporate compliance, and corporate risk management. Collaborate with the corporate finance division to establish procedures for invoice payment, tax, compliance, account reconciliation, T&E policy, and budget preparation. Analyze trends in prices and supply chain activities to appropriately contract or allocate as necessary and mitigate supply risks. Ensure all risk management due diligence is performed and maintained for central suppliers.
