We are seeking a Principal Contract Analyst to join our Pricing and Contracting team for the Americas. Candidates in this role will apply their curiosity, detail orientation and business acumen to ensure contract compliance with organizational policies, legal guidelines and business requirements. An effective communicator and influential collaborator, you'll work with cross-functional teams spanning Sales, Pricing, Contracting, Marketing and others to drive positive outcomes for the organization.

This position has key stakeholders at our Headquarters in Minneapolis, MN, and will work a hybrid in-office schedule. We will prioritize talent over location. Qualified remote candidates are encouraged to apply.

A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Conducts activities to facilitate administration and compliance of contracted pricing agreements with customers, such as recurring compliance reporting, pricing changes, communication to cross-functional stakeholders on contract performance, and other relevant compliance and administration activities.

  • Implement new processes and systems to effectively manage and scale pricing compliance related activities.

  • Project manage critical activities utilizing professional PM technology like Azure, Miro, or other relevant and similar software.

  • Supports and reviews proposals on pricing change requests, preparation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract lifecycle management and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.

  • Manages pricing strategy in conjunction with cross-functional stakeholders such as Contracting, Pricing, Marketing, Sales and other relevant parties.

  • Understands and manages pricing contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and customer agreements.

  • Analyzes market dynamics and trends, particularly with Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs), Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), and other key market players.

  • Provides strategic insights and recommendations based on market analysis to optimize pricing strategies and maximize profitability.

  • Monitors and evaluates the impact of pricing strategies on sales and profitability, makes recommendation on adjustments as necessary.

  • Extracts, models, and visualizes data using tools such as SQL, Alteryx, and Tableau.

  • Utilizes data analytics to support decision-making processes, identify trends, and generate actionable insights.

  • Develops and maintains data dashboards and reports to communicate key metrics and performance indicators to stakeholders.

  • Ensures data integrity and accuracy in all analytics activities.

  • Review relevant systems to ensure proper functionality, bug reporting, IT improvements and implementations, and data integrity.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree required

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant, progressively-responsible contract administration experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or related field.

  • Experience working in large, global, highly matrixed organizational structure.

  • Familiarity with Medtronic policies and programs.

  • Experience in the medical device industry.

  • Data visualization, analytics and modeling skills.

  • Leadership and/or talent management experience.

  • Broad knowledge of project management.

  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.

  • Advanced experience with SAP, Snowflake or Salesforce is highly preferable.

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
