We are offering an engaging role in the legal industry. Based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, we seek experienced Patent Docketing Specialists to apply! This position is largely remote and we can consider candidates that might live outside of the Twin Cities Metro. One must be commutable to an office location on a quarterly basis.

Responsibilities:

• Accurate docketing of USPTO and foreign patent mail into the docketing system in accordance with established procedures.

• Generating and monitoring daily dockets of deadlines to ensure that deadlines are met and the system is properly updated.

• Reviewing incoming and outgoing emails, faxes, and mail and updating the docketing systems as necessary.

• Providing auditing services for matters and docketed actions to ensure quality control of client data.

• Assisting with the processing of incoming and outgoing documents in the firm’s APS system.

• Identifying issues and problems and proactively working to solve them.

• Adapting to current and future responsibilities and circumstances.

• Using IP docketing software, such as PATTSY or Foundation IP, to manage and track patent processes.

• Maintaining professional conduct, a service-oriented attitude, and acute attention to detail.

• This role is mostly remote with the exception of quarterly staff meetings and special events. Commutable distance to one of our office locations is required.

Requirements

• Candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the legal industry.

• Must possess thorough knowledge and expertise in IP Docketing.

• Experience with intellectual property docketing software is essential. Foundation IP experience is preferred.

• Attention to detail, specifically numerical and text information is essential.

• Must demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy.
