This position involves assisting in the review and coding of patient notes related to kidney transplant evaluations, specifically focusing on identifying instances of stigmatizing language, and then perform analyses using R Studio.This position is temporary, from July-August 2024. Responsibilities: * Read and analyze patient notes to identify instances of stigmatizing language related to kidney transplants. * Code and categorize identified instances according to established guidelines and protocols. * Collaborate with Dr. Dudley's team to discuss findings and contribute to ongoing research efforts. * Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in handling patient information. * Assist in data entry and organization of research materials as needed. Qualifications All required qualifications must be included in the application materials Required Qualifications: * Enrolled student at an undergraduate institution * Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately identify and perform qualitative coding of stigmatizing language instances and using R Studio for data management * Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. * Excellent communication and organizational skills. * Interest in healthcare research and a commitment to contributing to meaningful research outcomes Preferred Qualifications: * Academic background in health equity, especially in writing about health equity * Experience using R Studio * Previous experience in healthcare, psychology, or a related field may be beneficial in understanding the context of patient notes and stigmatizing language within the healthcare domain.
