This person will assist with teaching of first-year Medical Students in Gross Anatomy Dissection Laboratory. This position starts January 6, 2024 through January 24, 2024. Duties and Responsibilities: 90% * Assist faculty in preparing cadaveric laboratory for medical student dissection sessions * Conduct cadaveric dissections independently * Assist medical students to conduct cadaveric dissections * Assist faculty in preparing laboratory practical exams * Assist faculty in proctoring and grading laboratory practical exams. 10% * Supervising medical student peer-teachers during laboratory preparation, preparation dissection and during medical student dissection session * Mentoring medical students through office hours Qualifications Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree * Completion of Medical Gross Anatomy coursework * Previous teaching experience in a Medical Gross Anatomy course as Teaching Assistant. Preferred Qualifications * Master's Degree * Previous experience teaching Anatomy at the undergraduate level About the Department The Department of Integrative Biology and Physiology's research centers on integrative systems biology of the heart and vasculature, including the close linkages among cardiovascular diseases and obesity, diabetes and metabolism at the whole animal level.
