Eide Bailly National Tax Manager - Affordable Care Act (ACA) in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Location: Mankato, MN or Minneapolis, MN Work Arrangement: Hybrid Typical Day in the Life A typical day in the life of a National Tax Manager focusing on the Affordable Care Act may include the following: Consults with clients on the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and other tax specialties Assists in the development of the national tax practice through the areas of business development and mentoring staff. Assists in the management and delivery of client projects, including review and analysis of client data, and preparation of required calculations, supporting documents and IRS filings. Prepares advanced tax research projects. Provides supervision, coaching, training and performance feedback to staff. Develops business by expanding existing relationships with clients, maintaining personal networks and participating in business and professional organizations. Ensures timely and accurate performance on assigned projects. Maintains compliance with project budgets, turnaround times, and deadlines. Who You Are You have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; or a JD (with LLM preferred). You have 5+ years of experience in in accounting or finance related work. Experience with the Affordable Care Act (ACA) or other tax specialties is a plus Experience working with the IRS and responding to IRS notices is a plus You have a valid Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is a plus. You are savvy in Microsoft Excel, intermediate or advanced experience required You have excellent communication, public speaking, research and writing skills with ability to articulate complex tax issues. You are able to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by setting priorities with work projects. You are able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and clients. You are skilled in networking and developing business You are able to work increased hours during busy season (November-March) Must be authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without visa sponsorship. Eide Bailly complies with all local/state regulations regarding displaying ranges. Final compensation decisions are dependent upon factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and internal equity.
