Minnesota Visiting Nurse Agency Medical Scribe (0.80 FTE) - $21/hour in Minneapolis, Minnesota
We are currently seeking a Medical Scribe* to join our team at Hennepin Healthcare. This is a 0.80 FTE position (64 hours per two-week pay period) andwill work on-site *at Hennepin Country Medical Center (HCMC), our Level 1 Trauma for Adults and Pediatrics located in downtown Minneapolis. This position *requires working 32 hours a week and/or 64 hours in a two-week pay period *with rotating days (schedule released 4 weeks in advance for Emergency Medicine, 2 weeks for all other departments).

*Responsibilities: *
- Accompany the provider into the exam room to document provider/patient interactions
- Accurately document history, physical examination, laboratory, medication, and radiology notes as verbalized by the patient and provider
- Transcribe dictated information from the provider into the medical record

_QUALIFICATIONS_
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED, plus two years of post-secondary education or an approved equivalent combination of education and experience
Strongly Preferred Qualifications:
- At least a Junior in college, preferably with coursework in medical transcription, medical terminology, human anatomy, and core sciences
- Relatable experience working in healthcare or clinical environment
- Experience using electronic health record system
- Reliable, punctual candidates with interest in medicine and/or pre-professional health track
- Applicants with prompt responsiveness and thorough communication skills
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to work closely with medical professionals during interactions with patients in a hospital or clinical setting
- Strong written communication skills, including the ability to listen carefully and accurately transcribe verbal communications on a real-time basis
- Strong keyboarding skills to facilitate the transcription of communications
- Ability to work well in a critical environment and be detail-oriented
- Strong organizational and customer service skills
- Ability to prioritize work based on volume and deadlines
