Department Overview The Children's Clinic provides a range of services from well-child care to educational and outreach programs. They care for children with complex medical, psychosocial problems, and acute and chronic childhood illnesses. They also provide developmental, behavioral, nutritional assessment and guidance, and parent education. Position Summary The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides support to providers in the delivery of timely, high-quality patient care services in a clinic environment. The clinical service functions include initial data collection, assisting providers with rooming, check in and scheduling of appointments. The LPN also assists patients with prescription management, patient registration, answering patient concerns and maintaining outpatient medical records. The LPN may also serve as the clinical Lead. Individuals in this role will work in an outpatient clinic setting. License/Certification/Registration required? Yes *BLS certified *LPNMNBN Education: *High school diploma or equivalent required *Associates or Vocational degree from a Board of Nursing approved LPN program required Experience: *1-2 years clinic LPN experience preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: *Communication skills *Ability to solve routine issues that may come up in the clinic *Collaborative and ability to work in team environment *Ability to serve as lead and support Medical Assistants who may have questions Physical Demands Please click here to view the Physical Demands The posted pay range represents rates for a grouping of multiple jobs within a salary grade. We carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate, and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Children's Minnesota.
