This is a hybrid position and would require you to be in the local office 2-3 days a week. In this role, you will define Navitaire's microservices reference and transition architectures to enable enterprise-scale application modernization. You will collaborate closely with product engineering teams, and technology platform teams to establish governance structures. In addition, you will partner with business domain architects on modernization roadmaps. This role requires effective communication and collaboration with various groups - including but not limited to Engineering, Technology, Security, Operations, Delivery, and Business - to drive value-driven decisions and outcomes. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership to Navitaire's Engineering community by owning key modernization initiatives. Develop detailed microservice reference architectures that includes definitions of integration patterns and communication protocols. Work closely with business domain architects and engineering teams to build application modernization roadmaps in adherence with enterprise standards. Hands-on prototyping of solutions to drive value and demonstrate vision. Provide governance for enterprise architecture while contributing to standards. Ensure operational and security standards are architecturally addressed in collaboration with security and technology teams. About the ideal candidate 10+ years of experience designing and delivering software applications. 5+ years of architecture experience in a complex enterprise ecosystem. Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Must have proficiency with various programming languages and frameworks: .NET Core and C# are preferred. Hands-on, real-world experience with modern architectural patterns and practices - including but not limited to Domain Driven Design, CQRS, event-based architectures, etc. Proven experience in delivering solutions that are based on industry standards using Azure IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS capabilities. Experience with API centric design and development with a deep understanding of RESTful API practices, and their on-going evolution is highly preferred. Effective communication skills to facilitate collaboration across multiple groups, ability to present solutions, and build consensus. Deep Understanding of SDLC, CI/CC processes for scale including blue/green, red/black, canary, CI/CD, and resiliency engineering. A proven record of leading microservice modernization effort is highly desirable. Travel industry experience is a plus.
