CLA is currently seeking a Lead Developer to join our growing internal IT team, as a lead you will be responsible for leading software development projects from conception to deployment, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality. The Lead Application Developer's essential job functions: Designing software solutions: The Lead Application Developer designs software solutions, considering the needs of the business, the capabilities of the technology being used, and the requirements of end-users. Defining technical standards: The Lead Application Developer works with Architects and other technical members to define software standards. Collaborating with stakeholders: The Lead Application Developer collaborates with stakeholders, including business leaders, project managers, and other technical professionals, to ensure that software solutions meet the needs of the business. Conducting research: The Lead Application Developer conducts research into emerging technologies and software development methodologies, staying up to date with the latest trends and best practices. Mentoring junior team members: The Lead Application Developer mentors junior team members, providing guidance and support as they develop their skills and expertise. Ensuring quality: The Lead Application Developer ensures that software solutions are of a high standard of quality, conducting testing and quality assurance activities as needed. Documenting software solutions: The Lead Application Developer documents software solutions, including requirements, design specifications, and user documentation. Providing technical leadership: The Lead Application Developer provides technical leadership, ensuring that the team is working in alignment with best practices and industry standards. Developing code: The Lead Application Developer is responsible for writing and testing code, ensuring that it meets the requirements of the software solution being developed. What you will need: Experience: Ten years of application development and support working as a hands-on lead on multiple projects & applications. Experience with Python API development Education: Bachelor's Degree or experience acceptable in lieu of bachelor's degree. Technical Competencies Strong understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards* Deep expertise and hands on experience with web applications, frameworks, and programming languages such as React, node.js, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, SaaS, and APIs * Experience building MicroServices* Experience working on containers (Docker)* Deep knowledge of Front-end frameworks such as Bootstrap, React, and AngularJS* Experience developing within the .Net framework (ASP.Net, C#, WCF Web services, MVC)* Experience working with Azure environment, DevOps, SharePoint Online, Blob, Office 365* Experience using a Database such as Postgres, SQL Server, mySQL or mongoDb * Experience with DevSecOps, Veracode, SonarQube and Dynatrace Organizational Interfaces The Lead Application Developer reports directly to the Web Services Manager. You will interact on a regular basis with other IT team members, business users, Managers, and Principals. Will also works with external vendors.
