Job Title: Quality Manager

Job Description

Our Quality Assurance (QA) - Food Safety Manager will play a critical role in overseeing all employees, including managers, in the plant with respect to food safety, quality, sanitation, and related training. Reporting directly to the company president, the QA Manager will be responsible for evaluating and upgrading our gmp, haccp, and food safety/quality plans to ensure FSMA and SQF compliance. The role also includes understanding the current baseline for SQF and FSMA compliance, implementing audit findings and corrective actions for continuous improvement, and providing continuous support for QA and Food Safety systems. On a daily basis, the QA Manager will oversee production, sanitation, and documentation to ensure adherence to quality standards, coach and support employees to maintain compliance and increase efficiency, and perform routine internal audits. The QA Manager will also support client audits, FDA, USDA, and other 3rd party audit support, and act as a PCQI qualified individual and SQF Practitioner.

This is a fully on-site position in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Work Environment

The plant, which operates from Monday to Friday (7:00-3:30), spans approximately 20,000 sq ft and is a mix of cooler storage areas, dry storage areas, and production areas with 4 loading docks. We also have a small refrigerated delivery truck for local deliveries.
