Description

Local law firm is interested in finding a Legal Administrative Assistant with experience supporting family law attorneys and paralegals in administrative tasks. This position requires familiarity with marriage dissolutions, legal separations, child custody and other family-related legal processes. This role demands excellent clerical skills, proficiency in word processing, and other office software. This is a hybrid work opportunity, firm currently allows for 3 days remote work per week.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Coordinate appointments by contacting clients and others involved.

• Maintain attorneys' calendars and assist in scheduling depositions.

• Communicate with attorney offices and court reporters to arrange dates.

• Produce and proofread documents, ensuring proper formatting and accuracy.

• Review attorney prebills and interact with clients as necessary.

• Manage incoming and outgoing mail, ensuring completeness of enclosures.

• Handle routine photocopying, faxing, and filing tasks, including file opening and closure.

• Electronic court filing, state courts.

• Introduce new employees to firm systems and procedures.

  Requirements

• 3+ years of previous family law experience

• Bachelor's Degree and/or paralegal certification

• Familiarity marriage dissolution process
