Job Description Summary:
Serves as the practice leader for all mechanical systems for the company. Plans, designs, implements, coordinates, and manages all mechanical operations, maintenance, communications, energy management, preventive maintenance programs and staff technical development programs for a facility, campus, or portfolio of buildings.
Job Description:
Job Responsibilities (listed in order of importance and/or time spent)
Complies with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.
Manages all technical contractors, trades, and service providers
Coordinates maintenance efforts with outside contractors, tenant finish personnel and technicians.
Oversee all building systems including fire/life safety, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical issues and must remain current with latest HVAC technology trends.
Monitors building systems including Building Automation Systems (BAS) Environmental Monitoring systems, fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed.
May assist in solicitation and acquisition of new management contracts and coordinate development of and/or maintain as-built drawings.
Develops specifications and assists in solicitation and administration of maintenance/repair service contracts.
Responds to emergency situations (fire, evacuation, equipment failure etc.) and related concerns.

Basic Education and/or Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Licensed, Professional Engineer/Mechanical Engineer
Equivalent experience in a Lead role in building engineering
Basic Qualifications
Demonstrated strong leadership skills, working with highly collaborate teams, and challenging existing perceptions.
Experience working within all areas of leadership as well as in the field with repair technicians to owners of mechanical contracting companies
Assist with capital and expense budgeting and management, planning for annual equipment budgets
Experience needed working with 3rd parties, leading transformation, or large-scale strategy
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proven resolution skills in high pressure situations
Must have a flexible work schedule to include evenings and weekends as required
Physical Demand Requirements
Must be capable of working in a large variety of work environments with ease
Must be able to work safely around all types of mechanical equipment
Must be able to handle long hours of walking, sitting, bending, reaching, high activity and hours of low activity
Travel Requirements: (if required)
- Up to 50% travel as needed to perform the duties of the job
Preferred Qualifications & Interests (PQIs)
Master’s Degree or MBA, bachelor’s degree, mechanical design, or engineering
Design experience with a mechanical design firm
CAD, REVIT, CMMS, BAS, BMS and or CAFM Systems Expertise
Due to state pay transparency laws, the full range for the position is below:
Salary to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
Pay Range is $83,161.63-$138,610.06
