MINCEP Epilepsy Care is a Level 4 Comprehensive Epilepsy Center recognized by the National Association of Epilepsy Centers. MINCEP was the first comprehensive epilepsy center in the United States and has served as a model for epilepsy centers throughout the world since 1964. Position Details - Leadership Role: Chief, Division of Epilepsy - Partnership with the College of Pharmacy Qualifications Required Qualifications: - Licensed Physician (MD, DO, MBBS, or equivalent) - Board Certified in Neurology - Board Certified in Epilepsy and/or Clinical Neurophysiology (EEG Track) - Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure - Ability to obtain and/or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota-* Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges. - Excellent teaching and interpersonal skills - Eligible for Academic Appointment at the rank of Associate Professor and/or Full Professor Preferred Qualifications: - Growth-oriented leader with a focus on recruiting new key faculty to the Division - Supervision and leadership for the Division of Epilepsy's clinical, research and teaching programs - Supervision and training of medical students, residents, and fellows - Opportunity to collaborate with innovative neuroscience physicians, biomedical engineers, and pharmacology researchers on clinical trial research and other academic activities About the Department The University of Minnesota Medical School (UMN) Department of Neurology invites applications and nominations for an experienced Neurologist with expertise in Epilepsy to lead and serve as the next Chief of the Division of Epilepsy at UMN. The position will include full academic appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Full Professor. As the next Chief of Epilepsy at UMN, you will lead a dynamic and growing division that is dedicated to advancing the understanding and treatment of epilepsy and associated disorders. The division comprises a diverse group of faculty members engaged in cutting-edge research, innovative clinical care, and comprehensive education and training programs. The new leaders will partner with the Neurology Department, Neuromodulation Program and College of Pharmacy to build a Comprehensive Epilepsy Center.
