Engineer-Equipment - III
Candidates local to Bloomington office
Primary Focus: SIM Projects
What we're looking for:

You're interested in new technologies and services in the area of cell site engineering and keep up with changing technology. Working independently is as comfortable for you as being part of a team.
You'll need to have:
Associate's degree or two or more years of work experience.
Three or more years of relevant work experience.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suites.
Attention to detail.
Ability to multi-task and work independently.
strong Project Management and Communication skills with the ability to work closely with Team members.
Even better if you have:
Knowledge of backup power systems used in the telecommunications environment.
Knowledge of cellular network architecture.
Knowledge of Ericsson base station equipment.

responsibilities:
What you'll be doing:
You will work with cellular engineering and operations to ensure that the equipment required for our cell site improvement projects are available when needed to complete. You'll determine equipment needs and order and integrate a wide range of equipment such as cell site generators, batteries, heating/cooling, and other various site upgrade/replacement needs. You'll work closely with other Network teams such as RF Design, Operations, Real Estate, Construction, Facilities and System Performance to implement new technologies and services to meet project milestones.
Responsibilities:
Engineering and Design support of all equipment for multiple project types.
Initiating Material Requests for shipment from our centralized warehouse.
Forecast future equipment/budget needs based on project start dates.
Ensure proper tracking of all components.
Monitor all equipment expenditures.
Prepare purchase orders and ensure vendor payment.
Oversee equipment receipt and acceptance.
Managing supplier relationships to meet targeted network milestones and turn-up dates.
Attending project update meetings to present status updates.
Following appropriate methods and procedures for equipment tracking and inventory control.
Review drawings for accuracy
