Job Title: Electro Mechanical Assembler

Job Description

As an Electro Mechanical Assembler, you will assemble complex mechanical units or fabricated parts at floor stations to make sub-assemblies and complete units using production tooling and machines. You will adjust controls and instrumentation using a variety of complex tools, materials, equipment, and machines. You will work with team members to develop modifications and improvements to equipment, systems, and tooling. You may also perform tests or quality checks on assembled units and provide maintenance coverage while undertaking preventative maintenance when necessary. This role involves building and testing small to large dialysis machines used in hospitals, clinics, and homes.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble complex mechanical units or fabricated parts to make sub-assemblies and complete units.

  • Adjust controls and instrumentation using various tools, materials, equipment, and machines.

  • Collaborate with team members to develop modifications and improvements to equipment, systems, and tooling.

  • Perform tests or quality checks on assembled units.

  • Provide maintenance coverage and undertake preventative maintenance when necessary.

  • Build and test small to large dialysis machines used in hospitals, clinics, and homes.

  • Perform mechanical assembly of water filtration machines used for dialysis.

  • Follow work instructions on a computer.

  • Perform visual inspection of incoming material.

  • Use various hand tools such as screwdrivers, bolts, and rivet guns for assembly.

  • Perform wire cutting, stripping, and pinning of cables.

  • Conduct quality checks, including testing sub-assemblies and packaging finished products.

Essential Skills

  • 1+ year of electromechanical or mechanical assembly experience.

  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.

  • Experience with mechanical and electrical assembly.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.

  • Knowledge of electrical wiring.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to perform visual inspections of incoming materials.

  • Experience with wire cutting, stripping, and pinning of cables.

  • Capability to perform quality checks and testing of sub-assemblies.

  • Proficiency in using assembly tools such as screwdrivers, bolts, and rivet guns.

Work Environment

This role is based in a clean work environment with individual workstations where machines are built. There are two separate production areas: one for larger machines built one at a time, and another for smaller machines where five are built simultaneously. The job involves a combination of sitting and standing with minimal heavy lifting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00
