UMPhysicians Complex Scheduler (Pediatric Hematology-Oncology) in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Our caring team of pediatric hematologist-oncologists and other specialists focus on the treatment of cancers, blood diseases, anemia, disorders of blood clotting, immune deficiency and more! In addition, we are home to the Team One Four Infusion Center where we provide a wide range of outpatient infusions to pediatric patients. What you will do as a Complex Scheduler: Collaborates with providers, clinic staff, schedulers, across multiple different departments, locations, and outside organizations (when needed) to ensure services are timed, coordinated, and sequenced appropriately and all associated activities are complete Responsible for scheduling and coordinating multiple services including but not but limited to appointments, imaging, labs, procedures, surgeries, and treatments Accurately navigates and translates complex service protocols, tools, standard work, and information to ensure appropriate services are delivered Follows standard processes and workflows to ensure safety and reliability Prepares, manages, and updates the daily schedule/calendars for physicians/APPs who deliver care (procedures, surgeries, clinic appointments) at different locations such as outreach clinics, hospitals, procedure centers Follow system standards to respond to patient referral and infusion scheduling workqueues Prepare and send letters to families regarding appointment details What you will need: Highschool diploma or GED Two years' experience, in a healthcare setting/practice completing scheduling and registration of appointments, templating schedules in Epic and providing administrative medical support Knowledge of basic medical terminology Experience within hematology/oncology (preferred) Location: Katie Hageboeck Children's Cancer Fund Research Clinic (Remote - MN residents only) *A portion of training for this position will be in-person at the clinic.
