Job Title: CNC Lathe Machinist

Job Description

The person in this position will setup, program at the machine, and operate CNC turning centers to manufacture short-run components. These are Fanuc controlled machines. The machinist will need to edit or program at the machines to produce parts, primarily using 3-axis equipment. The role requires holding and inspecting tolerances down to +/- 0.0005. The machinist will work with larger parts, necessitating more setups and potentially longer runs. Cranes and jib cranes are available to support loading and unloading parts from the machines.

Responsibilities

• Setup and operate CNC turning centers for short-run components

• Program and edit at the machine using G&M codes and conversational programming

• Hold and inspect tolerances down to +/- 0.0005

• Work with larger parts, requiring more setups and longer runs

• Use cranes and jib cranes to load and unload parts

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of setup experience on CNC turning centers with Fanuc or conversational controls

• 3+ years of CNC programming experience, including G&M codes at the machine and/or Cad Cam

• Knowledge of dimensional tolerances and GD&T

• Proficiency in using and interpreting precision measurement instruments

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints

• General computer skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to follow work instructions

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Vocational education preferred

• 5-10 years of experience in a non-production environment preferred

This is a Permanent position based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00
