Job Description: Ryan Companies US, Inc. has an immediate career opportunity for a Chief Engineer to join our team in Minneapolis! The Chief Engineer role is responsible for overall maintenance for a large property or portfolio or properties including preventative maintenance, general repairs and adjustments to building systems and equipment. They provide a safe, productive, comfortable and clean working environment for building occupants; supervise portfolio engineering staff and interact with various subcontractors as needed. Some things you can expect to do: Provide technical expertise in the areas of HVAC, electrical systems and mechanical systems for the purpose of proper maintenance procedures, cost reduction, and tenant and employee safety Establish strong working relationships with staff, managers, tenants, clients and vendors Oversee the success of the regions' building services business by securing new business, proper management and reporting of finances and providing the industries' best service Engage with the building management team to support creation and planning for building budgets, includinginsight on required repairs, proactive maintenance, and cost estimation Obtain bids, negotiate vendor contracts and monitor performance Conduct regular property inspections with property manager Provide leadership, training, mentorship, coaching and supervision of maintenance staff Job Requirements: 10+ years of experience in commercial or industrial building operations Two or four year technical degree or equivalent in building operations and equipment Universal CFC certification; able to attain local licensing or certification as required Experience supervising a team You will really stand out if you have: Electrical, plumbing and building automation controls experience SMA, SMT AND LEED certification or equivalent preferred Formal supervisory training Eligibility: Positions require verification of employment eligibility to work in the U.S. Compensation: The annual base pay is $84,900 - $106,150. The base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission and/or an incentive program.
