Business Analyst - Financial Applications BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Business Analyst - Financial Application for a remote opportunity. Position Title: Business Analyst - Financial Applications Location: Minneapolis, MN Anticipated Start Date: 9/30/2024 Please note this is the target date and is subject to change. BCforward will send official notice ahead of a confirmed start date. Expected Duration: 9 - months (Fulltime) Job Type: Contract Pay Range: $45/hr. - 55$/hr. Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.). Job Description Global financial services client is looking for a Business Analyst on a contract basis. This position will be 100% remote and is responsible for defining business needs, translating those needs into system requirements, and clearly defining the scope of the solution. Primary Responsibilities

• Works closely with the users and product owner to understand needs and expectations.
• Writes detailed business requirements and functional specifications for Agile development teams.
• Manages the approval process for the requirements/stories.
• Become a subject matter expert in the assigned company application portfolio. Understand the underlying business logic and processes to help design solutions to new requirements and solve business problems.
• Ensures issues are identified, tracked, reported, and resolved on time. Works with
• customers and application developers to identify required changes. Assists in delivery tracking and adherence to committed timelines.
• Evaluate and participate in solution alternatives with application development teams while
• ensuring business solutions meet corporate standards.
• Negotiates technical and non-technical solutions that satisfy the business users and conform to the technical architecture.
• Evaluate and make recommendations to improve organizational effectiveness which may reduce costs.
• Work with the Quality Assurance team to derive a test strategy, in creating and reviewing test cases and support functional testing.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) including assisting with test strategy, reviewing user acceptance test cases, and environment/data setup.
• Establish and maintain a strong partnership with business partners, company management,
• technical staff, and end users. Lead regular communication and user group meetings with business partners.
• Gathers, consolidates, and refines data to publish executive, operational, and management-level reporting and analysis.

Education

• Minimum Required: BS/BA degree or equivalent business and technical experience
• Any combination of relevant education and experience and/or related professional designations/certifications in this field are highly desirable.

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in Business Analysis and Project Management of Financial/Banking applications Preferred
• Experience writing stories for iOS/Android/Web Apps

Essential Skills

• Agile/Scrum requirements and project management using a tool such as JIRA.
• Intermediate to advanced skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to create flowcharts, sequence diagrams, and UI mockups.
