BIM Specialist II Job Locations US-MN-Minneapolis Job ID 2025-3033 Category Digital Practice Position Type Regular Full-Time # of Openings 1 Posted Date 36 minutes ago(1/10/2025 5:48 PM) Overview: HGA's Arts, Community and Education (ACE) practice is seeking a BIM Specialist to join our team in Minneapolis. This is a new position within our group, intended to support architects and designers, who actively use Revit and Rhino for project delivery. The individual will serve as a Revit and Rhino specialist for the Minneapolis ACE practice and participate directly in the production of architectural models on active projects. Our projects are a wide variety of project types and scales, so versatility to adapt to a variety of collaborative design team settings is necessary. The role provides on-going user support, troubleshooting, and content creation/development on assigned projects. Working with our Digital Practice Group (DPG), this role assists in the continued promotion and development of BIM and VDC throughout our practice. The individual will also be accountable to DPG's Strategic Projects team who will provide the necessary guidance, training, and support to this role in implementing HGA's BIM workflows and any client-specific BIM or VDC requirements. In this role you will: Build fast and accurate Revit models, often using Rhino design models and drawings developed by other team members as a guide. Develop project specific families to add definition to Revit models. Maintain and manage model health for smooth operation/performance of the models. Troubleshoot Revit and Rhino user issues within the broader ACE team. Assist with BIM coordination responsibilities on key ACE projects. Provide continuing quality assurance with project teams to maintain BIM quality and standards. Handle customization, trouble shooting and product testing. You will need to have: Associate's degree Minimum of 7 years of experience working on architectural projects in Revit Quick and accurate modeling in Revit and Rhino Familiarity with basic construction types and how to build those into a 3D model, with guidance from a project architect Strong graphic communication skills Strong knowledge and use of Revit and standard Microsoft Office products like Outlook, Word, Excel Intermediate knowledge and use of Rhino, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite A demonstrated understanding of project workflows from design to construction administration, building from knowledge of industry standards, workflows and data formats. Certification in Revit (preferred but not required) Salary Information: The pay range listed aligns to the geography of the office for which this position is posted. Actual compensation will be based upon work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salary Range: $77,100 - $103,400/year Additional Information: Note that this position is not intended for someone with a professional architecture degree. If you are a highly skilled at Revit but unfamiliar with Rhino or other architectural design software, please consider applying. It is possible to pick up Rhino skills quickly for those familiar with other modeling software.
