A successful candidate will have experience delivering technical solutions under timeline and budget constraints and proficiency working efficiently with business and technical teams. To be successful in this role, you will have exposure to application development, business and technical analysis, and how NMDP can evolve the capabilities to improve or exceed our goals for B2B and functional analysis, development of technical requirements, prototyping, coding, testing, deployment, and support:Some experience developing scalable application logic using Apex and SOQL.Develops highly interactive UI using Visualforce, JavaScript and JQuery technologies.Develops custom applications using Salesforce.com and integrating Salesforce.com with other systems.Apply best practices and design patterns of best-of-breed applications developed on the Salesforce.com platform.Advocates Salesforce.com usage and partners with senior members of the development team.Partners with stakeholders from Sales, Marketing and Service to implement and roll out cloud applications across NMDP.Creates and executes unit, integration and user acceptance test plans, including use cases and test data.Operates and leverages Agile and Scrum methodologies.Gathers, analyzes and documents functional and technical requirements for new projects, enhancements to existing solutions and production issues reported by end users.Other accountabilities:Uses Salesforce platform development best practices to create and modify applications that fulfill business requirements.Balances benefit, cost and maintenance to determine optimal technical solutions to meet business needs, using declarative, code or a combination of these techniques.Collaborates with business and technical teams, including product owners, project managers, scrum master's and other technical resources, to meet business requirements and solve technical issues.Keeps current with Salesforce development tools and propose innovative solutions for business needs.Supports Salesforce Administrators with automation, security settings, custom objects, workflows and any other needed custom development.Other duties as assigned.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Knowledge of:Familiarity with Lightning Component Framework, including Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Aura Components, as well as foundational knowledge of Apex and modern JavaScript (ES6 ).Basic understanding of web development best practices, with an emphasis on security standards such as OWASP, data privacy, and governor limits within Salesforce's multi-tenant architecture.Introductory experience with Sales Cloud and Service Cloud, with a focus on configuration and basic customization (Flows, Process Builders, Validation Rules, etc.).Exposure to Salesforce integration patterns (e.g., REST, SOAP) and event-driven architecture through platform events and Change Data Capture (CDC).Knowledge of Salesforce automation tools, such as Flow Builder and Workflow Rules, with an interest in extending automation capabilities through Apex triggers and batch processing.Ability to:Collaborate efficiently with business and technical teams to understand and help translate business requirements into technical solutions, focusing on scalability and maintainability.Demonstrate the ability to articulate and document functional and technical requirements, translating user stories into development tasks.Exhibit a willingness to learn and explore the Salesforce ecosystem, staying up to date on new releases, features, and best practices.Education and/or Experience:Bachelor's Degree in omputer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, or another related field preferred, but equivalent work experience or relevant Salesforce certifications (such as Salesforce Administrator or Platform Developer I) may be substituted for degree requirements.Exposure to creating and maintaining automation processes, data extensions, and data transfer processes in Salesforce Marketing Cloud or a similar platform is a plus but not mandatory.Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices, including version control using Git, CI/CD pipelines, and collaboration tools like Jira or Trello.Basic experience with Salesforce Trailhead and a desire to pursue additional Salesforce certifications as you grow in the rolePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: (Additional qualifications that may make a person even more effective in the role, but are not required for consideration)Salesforce Platform Developer I or II Certification, with additional certifications like Salesforce Administrator or Marketing Cloud Developer being a plus.Hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Health Cloud, Pardot, or other specialized Salesforce clouds (e.g., Financial Services Cloud, Experience Cloud), including knowledge of Journey Builder, Email Studio, and Marketing Automation tools.Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment, including familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, and Git, and knowledge of DevOps processes using Salesforce DX, CI/CD pipelines, Gearset, or
