The ASCL programs provide academic preparation for working professionals interested in advancing their career in the sciences and science-adjacent leadership fields. This is a part-time teaching position that reports to the Associate Director for Graduate Education. Candidates with an earned doctorate degree will be hired as a Lecturer. RESPONSIBILITIES Provide instruction for ASCL or cross-listed CIVE graduate level courses. Work with the Director of Graduate Studies for the ASCL program and with CCAPS staff to ensure successful alignment with the program curriculum. Use industry and content expertise and keep current with research findings, workforce trends, professional ethics, and policies to inform depth and breadth of course content. Utilize new technologies to enhance curriculum delivery and accessibility to accommodate working adult students. Utilize pedagogical best practices for diverse working adult learners. Must be able to teach at scheduled class times, including evening and weekends and respond to course related student inquiries within 48 hours. Proven ability to work successfully with diverse groups of people. Qualifications REQUIRED: A demonstrative skill & commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion Master's degree in a related field At least 7 years of professional experience in the field or a minimum of 3 semesters of teaching experience in a higher education setting with a record of strong student evaluations. Teaching experience at the graduate level PREFERRED: An earned doctorate or an equivalent terminal degree in a related field Ten or more years of professional experience in a field directly related to the course of instruction or at least 5 semesters of teaching experience in a higher education setting with a record of strong student evaluations.
