This part-time position (50%) will focus on managing integrative projects, organizing events, facilitating team collaboration, managing reports, and engaging with external evaluators and advisory committees. Primary Duties Project Management (40%): Managing integrative projects that span across research, education, outreach/stakeholder management, and collaboration nexus components. Collaborating with team members to develop project work plans, and ensure project milestones are met and objectives are achieved. Organizing meetings, agendas, and action items with team leads. Event Organization (20%): Planning and organizing workshops, conferences, and the annual meeting to foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and networking opportunities. Coordinate with program assistant on event logistics. Team Collaboration System (15%): Establishing and maintaining a robust system for team collaboration to facilitate effective communication and coordination among all institute members. Report Management (15%): Assisting in the drafting, editing, and finalization of reports in collaboration with institute team members. Working closely with the Executive Director to distribute reports to institute members, stakeholders, external evaluators, and the USDA. Engagement (10%): Liaising with External Evaluators and the External Advisory Committee (EAC) to gather input on draft strategic plans and external evaluator findings. Organizing meetings, agendas, and action items with evaluators and EAC. Qualifications Required Qualifications: BA/BS plus at least 4 years of experience or a combination of related education and work experience to equal eight years; Strong project management experience Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities Track record of building cross-functional relationships. Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel) Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills Preferred Qualifications: At least 5 years of related work experience with managing and scaling university research programs Experience with higher education, program management, and event management About the Department For more information about the AI-Climate Institute visit https://cse.umn.edu/aiclimate.
