2025 Student Intern - Finance Job Locations US-MN-Minneapolis ID 2024-3018 # of Openings 1 Category Finance Overview: HGA has an exciting internship opportunity for a student who is looking to gain hands-on experience in a national interdisciplinary design firm. As an HGA intern, you'll see textbook and classroom learning come alive across disciplines and projects. This is a paid student internship and will be part-time during the school year and an opportunity to work full-time from June to August. Work schedule can be flexible to accommodate classes during the school year. In this role you will: Work closely with the department leadership, billing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable processes Route and process AP invoices Prepare and assist with General Ledger account reconciliations, including preparation of journal entries Aid in the month-end close process and financial review Assist in preparing accurate and timely monthly financial reports for the Finance Committee and Board of Directors Assist in annual audit preparation Work on a variety of organizing and special financial projects You will need to have: At least a college sophomore standing pursuing an undergraduate degree in accounting or finance Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required, especially with Excel Detail-oriented mindset with a strong commitment to quality and the ability to multitask and meet deadlines Ability to work as a team player Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills required Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality Must be able to work a hybrid schedule (both in person in the Minneapolis office and remote) Salary Information: The pay range listed aligns to the geography of the office for which this position is posted. Actual compensation will be based upon work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Individuals in this role working more than 24 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in HGA's robust benefit programs which include an annual bonus and success sharing bonus program, 401(k) guaranteed contribution, paid parental leave, medical, dental and life insurance plans as well as PTO and short- and long-term disability programs.
