Cummins Inc. Quality Team Lead (2nd Shift) in Mineral Point, Wisconsin
DESCRIPTION
Ensures products received or produced meet technical specifications trains others and assists in process development. Works under minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
· Quality Verification: Inspecting products on the production line to ensure they meet technical specifications.
· Defect Identification: Comparing physical characteristics of components and materials to identify any defects.
· Product Segregation: Separating non-conforming products using various measurement techniques and equipment.
· Documentation: Recording details of products that do not meet specifications using specified systems.
· Training: Educating others on the use of measurement equipment, segregation of non-conforming products, and proper documentation.
· Adherence to Standards: Following company-defined quality norms and standards.
· Reporting: Updating management on the progress of problem resolution.
· Process Improvement: Assisting in the development of new methods and procedures to enhance quality control processes.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Requires significant relevant work experience, specialized skills obtained through education, training, and on-the-job experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
Additional Responsibilities:
· To support on Quality task as part of Quality System
· Stop the line when there is a Quality risk to ensure product
· Lead the team of Quality Technicians in 2nd Shift.
· Assists in the development and implementation of new methods and procedures.
· Conduct in-depth Non-Conforming Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
· Assist engineers for projects, test jobs and short-term containment actions.
· Ensure all quality techs following NC procedure and supervise parts taken out from NCM cage.
· Provide training to less experienced Romer Technicians
· Required to perform lab testing activities (if required).
· Provide coverage to Romer table in absence of Quality Technician
· Assist in conducting SLP inspections for newly launched products.
· Keep work area safe and clean (5S – Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain)
· Promote quality workmanship that meets and/or exceeds customer expectations.
· Perform other duties as directed by the Manager.
