We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Paint Prep/Industrial Painter to join a great team. In this role, you will be responsible for the preparation and application of primer and paint coatings to various products. Your ability to work effectively in a team, solve problems, and maintain a keen eye for detail will be essential to your success.

Summary of the Paint Prep/Industrial Painter position:

• Location: Minden, Nebraska
• 1st and 2nd shift available
• 1st shift: Monday - Friday, 6 AM - 2:30 PM
• 2nd shift: Monday - Thursday, 2:30 PM - 1 AM
• Pay: $18-20/hour

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces for coating on both large and small assemblies using a variety of chemicals and solvents.
• Mix primer and paint correctly for optimal application.
• Use hand and power tools, as well as paint guns and electrostatic paint systems.
• Apply coatings to products with precision and accuracy.
• Maintain and clean the paint booth, including changing filters and repairing equipment as needed.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of painting equipment.
• Wear and utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as respirators, paint suits, safety glasses, and gloves.
• Clean work areas and follow schedules to ensure timely delivery of products.
• Work collaboratively in a team environment and operate forklifts/industrial trucks as required.
• Utilize paint hooks and racks for hanging parts/assemblies.
• Communicate effectively with all levels of employees.
• Manage multiple priorities with frequent interruptions.
• Differentiate between colors accurately.
• Lift up to 80 pounds as needed.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in industrial painting or a related field is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work with all levels of employees.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks with frequent interruptions.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds and work with various types of paint equipment and materials.
• A keen eye for color differentiation.
