Job Summary This professional will collaboratively identify and mitigate supplied-part quality risk throughout the NPD process to ensure robust supplier production processes predominantly pertaining to CASTINGS AND FORGINGS. Job Responsibilities Working independently and/or as part of a geographically dispersed team, this professional will... Support activities to identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers. Assess and identify supplier quality and capability gaps to program needs and Sourcing\'s strategic goals. Drive focus of new part design toward sustainably maximizing manufacturability and optimizing supplier processes. Own, lead, engage in, execute, and/or deliver NPD processes, APQP elements, project management, rapid problem solving, tooling design reviews, evaluation, and validation, part design reviews, evaluation, and validation, drawing evaluation, DFQ, DFMA, DFMEAs, PFMEAs, MSAs, capability studies, product and process auditing, CA/PA, risk mitigation strategies and plans, control plans, PPAPs, and CARs. Support on-site supplier risk mitigation activities and H-D product builds. Provide feedback regarding supplier performance, internal process adherence, milestone risk, and forward-looking lessons learned. Champion and live out H-D#1 Principles, especially Agility, Communication, Courage, Impact, Judgement, and Speed while requiring guidance in only the most complex situations. Mentor, train, coach, and/or guide suppliers, H-D staff, and third-party personnel in manufacturing techniques, Quality principles and tools, data capturing and analysis, and complex problem-solving.
