Job Summary This position will play a key role supporting the company\'s corporate accounting department with primary accounting responsibility for cash and investments, insurance, compensation, product liability, payroll, and corporate allocations. The position will draw on knowledge of U.S. GAAP as well as analytical and reconciliation skills to prepare month-end journal entries and ensure accounts are properly stated in the general ledger. In addition, this position will support corporate accounting initiatives to promote global compliance with U.S. GAAP and strong internal controls. The position will also require the ability to work effectively with professionals at various levels of the organization and to collaborate with individuals across functional areas and geographic locations. Job Responsibilities * Perform month end close activities including preparation of journal entries, reconciliation of selected balance sheet accounts, and related account analysis. * Work closely with Corporate Treasury, Compensation, Risk Management, Legal and Payroll to insure proper application of accounting principles. * Assist financial planning with forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis. * Serve as a subject matter expert to the business on general ledger accounts and definitions. * Assist accounting manager with internal and external audit requests. * Prepare and maintain documentation, while implementing...
