NORTHWESTERN MUTUAL LIFE INSURANCE Senior Test Engineer in MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin
JOB REQUIREMENTS: The Senior Test Engineer at Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company in Milwaukee, WI will complete manual and automated testing of illustrations application. Leverage testing tools to create and run automated tests against integration, quality assurance and production environments. Create test scenarios for features during development to align with software engineers\' completion. Execute test scenarios against developed features. Identify defects and collaborate with other engineers and product team members to validate. Ensure defects are well understood and reproducible. Test fixes to ensure no new issues are introduced while resolving defects. Understand business requirements and product features across all departments. Engage in Agile development process. Mentor team members on testing practices. Lead onshore and offshore testing efforts. Ensure team members participating in testing create sufficient scenarios to maintain quality. Create and maintain testing processes and test environment strategy documentation. Assist in execution of our Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) process. Trigger CI/CD pipeline to deploy code in automated, secure, and consistent process. Evaluate and provide feedback on testing deliverables as appropriate. Conduct and coordinate code reviews. Perform End to End, Functional, Regression test execution and Deployment support for implementations of business requirements. Lead troubleshooting and debugging automation. Telecommuting permitted 2 days per week. Requires a Master\'s degree in Software Engineering or a related field plus 3 years (or a Bachelor\'s degree plus 5 years) of experience as a software test engineer or in a related occupation. Experience must include 3 years with each of the following: (1) creating, reviewing, and executing test strategies, test plans, cases, and test scripts; (2) defect and test management using JIRA and HP Quality Center; (3) performing smoke, sanity, functional, Integration, end-to-end, regression, and UAT testing; (4) creating automated test scripts utilizing Selenium, Cucumber, and behavioral driven development; (5) continuous integration of automated tests utilizing Jenkins and GitHub; (6) leading onshore and offshore testing efforts; (7) Agile software development; and (8) assisting non-functional testing teams to complete performance and security testing.
