Job Overview We have an exciting opportunity to join our Human Resources team in Milwaukee, WI. This role will serve as a business partner to Loading business unit, Milwaukee - based senior management team. It will also be the leader of the HR function for the Milwaukee manufacturing plant. In that capacity the incumbent will utilize Human Resources expertise and leadership skills to enhance organizational effectiveness in the following core HR areas: Labor and Employee Relations, Staffing (Recruitment/Selection), Training & Development, Compensation & Benefits, Safety, Employment Law and Legal Compliance. This role will manage a staff of approximately 3 employees. Key Job Responsibilities Employee Relations - Collaborate with management to determine the most appropriate approach to employee relations issues to achieve conflict resolution in the most fair and consistent manner possible.Assist managers with the application of disciplinary actions and improvement plans to establish a work environment characterized by consistency and fairness. Utilize the progressive discipline policy in a manner that fosters employee accountability and drives operational effectiveness/results. Labor Relations - This incumbent shall have primary responsibility for the company\'s relationship with the Milwaukee bargaining unit. Accordingly, this individual will manage the disciplinary and grievances processes associated with that bargaining unit. Will understand the body of past practices and collective bargaining process for Milwaukee Operations. Will also lead the contract negotiation cycle. May serve as a subject matter expert to other locations on collective bargaining.
