JOB REQUIREMENTS: Data engineering which involves the manipulation and transformation of extremely large data sets data science which includes using advanced algorithms to describe/interpret data, predict future outcomes and prescribe optimal courses of action. Gather business requirements from internal customers, build project plans, handle change requests, and deliver on the project plan. Socialize concepts of Data Science with internal customers. Take complex model components and describe them to audiences without a data science background. Build trust by proactively providing credible and value-added support. Build analytical tools to utilize the data pipeline by analyzing current and historical results of pricing activity and transactional data to identify actionable opportunities, develop ideas, and make recommendations to improve pricing performance. Develop relationships with sales management and product management to correctly position product and establish pricing strategies aligning with product/sales strategy. Build trust by proactively providing credible and value-added support. Build required infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data from various data sources using AWS and SQL technologies to prepare, analyze and report on pricing metrics and communicate results and recommendations for improvements or trends to executive management. Demonstrate strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. Perform root cause analysis on external and internal processes and data to identify opportunities for improvement and answer questions. Prepare reports for management stating trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data. Identify opportunities to optimize sales and profitability through pricing strategies. Work from home - 3 days per week. This position requires a Masters\' degree, or foreign equivalent, in Statistics, Data Science, Computational Sciences, or a related quantitative field and eight (8) years of experience as a Data Scientist, Statistical Analyst, or related occupation. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) Statistical and probability analysis to predict outcomes and to discover anomalies that exist in the large transactional datasets; (2) Multivariate analysis such as multiple linear regression, multiple logistic regression, etc. using R, SAS, or other statistical software; (3) Retrieving large amount of data utilizing SQL; (4) Data wrangling using SQL, R, SAS, Python, or other tools; (5) Utilizing R, Python, SAS, or other statistical software; (6) Creating data visualization utilizing tools such as R, Tableau, or Power BI; (7) Translating business requirements from internal customers to technical requirements; and (8) Interpreting model outputs for business leaders.
