The Senior Analytics Engineer at Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company in Milwaukee, Wisconsin will collaborate with client partners and data owners, experts, and SMEs across data domains to translate raw data into usable business information. Apply architectural design to model data within our Netezza labs and Cloud Data Lake to enable their use for Data Science modeling, reporting, dashboarding, analysis, and analytics. Practice Agile methodologies to implement these technical requirements by story authoring, sizing, demo sessions for product features and tracking work within Jira. Locate data and design how to incorporate it into our Netezza labs or Cloud Data Lake and then build visualizations and insights within a Power BI dashboard. Design, build and maintain the various DataLabs environments for which the team is responsible (AWS Cloud, Netezza, Microsoft SQL Server). Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) data from various ecosystems within the company. Call multiple services and databases to pull data from different systems by creating and executing ETLs (Informatics Scripts, SQL code libraries or Microsoft SSIS packages). Work with relational databases, (Amazon Redshift, DB2, SQL Server, and Netezza) along with other sources of data such as mainframe, Text files, Excel, SharePoint, CSV, and Domino. Utilize database management skills to create the schema design and optimize data query results. Collaborate with technical teams to deploy code (Python Scripts, SQL Libraries, Microsoft SSIS packages) to servers in which we can automate our data extracts. Troubleshoot ETL job failures and data quality issues as they arise, including collaborating with data owners and reloading data from source systems when necessary. Perform deployments on a cadence; perform checkout; and verify changes after deployment. Utilize SQL to troubleshoot Power BI dashboards or ETL packages to fix bugs or address questions from business partners. 100% telecommuting available. Salary \$112,195- \$203,840 per year. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field plus 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer, Software Developer, or related occupation. Experience must include 5 years of experience with each of the following: (1) data acquisition, cleansing, feature engineering, debugging and software documentation; (2) AWS data science and analytics cloud technologies including S3, EMR, Spark, PySpark, RDS, JupyterLab, and Sagemaker; (3) Databricks Delta Lake, Amazon Redshift, or Snowflake; (4) digital analytics tools including Adobe Analytics and Heap; (5) database models and DBMs to create data sets for analytics and model training and development; (6) SQL, Python, AWS, Informatics Scripts, SQL code libraries,...
