Description You will use your knowledge and skills to prepare and consolidate financial statements, analyze and reconcile accounts, analyze cash flow, build budgets and forecasts, prepare audits, and manage internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Candidates with strong analytical skills and a preference for challenging and fast-paced work environments will be successful in this position. Your responsibilities

• Assemble monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

• Adherence to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

• Successfully collaborate with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, controls and provide support on special requests when necessary

• Perform monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP

• Aid in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

• Coordinate Ad-hoc projects as necessary

• Present Balance Sheet account reconciliations

• Review financial information such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc. and present analysis in a clear manner

• Apply oneself to various department-wide initiatives Requirements - Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment

• Grant accounting experience desired

• Wide ranging experience with in-house payroll

• Monthly Accruals experience highly desired

• Quality experience with payroll systems for 100-500 employees

• Proven knowledge of Monthly Close Processes

• Well-founded grasp of Monthly Financial Reporting

• Earlier work involving ADP - Payroll

• Practical knowledge of Abila MIP

• General familiarity with Monthly Financial Statements

• Expertise in non-profit fund accounting

• Foundational knowledge in Monthly Account Reconciliation

• Proficiency in Month-end Close Activities

• BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

• Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

• Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges

• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills

• 5+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience

• Proficiency with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

• SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus

• Engages effectively in self-directed time management and prioritization of workload

• Efficient in ERP systems

• Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
