JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Overview: This project-focused appointment in quantum computing will support the research program of PI: Dr. Dmitri Babikov. The project will focus on the development of a method for the modelling of quantum dynamics of molecular collision processes. Publication from the lab related to this topic. Duties and Responsibilities : Carry out computational research in Molecular Physics on the development of quantum computing algorithm for the description of rotational state-to-state transitions during inelastic molecular collisions. -Write and test computer programs using Python, Qiskit and FORTRAN. Conduct research with a growing degree of independence, work well with others in the the lab. Provide research summaries and reports weekly, meet regularly with PI to discuss next steps and expectations. A background in quantum information is preferable.
