As a Reading Tutor, your crucial role will impact the lives of many children, offering vital assistance to those who need extra help reading at their grade level. Immerse yourself in a local school and support kindergarten through third grade students with one-on-one or paired guidance to enrich their reading skills. With training and on-site coaching, you\'ll be equipped to help children thrive. Your commitment during school hours throughout the academic year guarantees a significant impact. Track student progress and regularly meet with the school\'s on-site coach. Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores into data software. Commit to your own growth as a tutor through coaching, training, and professional development. Anyone can become a tutor as long as they have a passion to make a difference - and meet the following minimum qualifications. By the time they begin their service, our tutors are: Dependable and have a history of good attendance. Able to understand and follow instructions. Open to making improvements based on feedback. Capable of setting a pace and maintaining a schedule with students. Competent with basic computer skills (like email and navigating online). Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing. 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
