Job Overview The Production Supervisor - Heavy Fabrication & Weld - 3rd Shift at the Komatsu Manufacturing Facility will have responsibility over the Heavy Fabrication and Welding (sub-arc, hex-chrome, fit up/tack, 3/32 flux core) Manufacturing Operation activities on 3rd Shift, within our Union Manufacturing Setting. Key Job Responsibilities Interprets specifications, blueprintsand job orders to workersand assigns duties. Plans flow of materials through department. Interfaces with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met. Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve safety, production methods, productivity, equipment performance, and quality of product. Verifies conformance to specifications. Analyzes and resolves work problemsor assists workers in solving work problems. Supervises the Hourly Workforce. Maintaintime and attendance records via on-line system. Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department or work crew. Maintain attendance of employees to Company guidelines. Maintain documentation of nonconforming attendance, productivityand compliance toCompany rules. Establishes and/or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.Determine production priorities in support of production schedules and assign work accordingly. Coordinate production requirements across shifts. Authorizes the release of production items as operations are completed. Uses drawings, routings and procedure documents to ensure compliance with product design requirements. Identify errors in product drawings, routings or other document and communicate for correction. Disposition nonconforming items, including documentation of deviation requests as required. Review Quality Assurance documentation for accuracy and completeness.
