How You’ll Make an Impact as a HR Data Business Analyst

The purpose of the HR Data Business Analyst role is to collaborate with key business stakeholders to carry out P&C Analytics strategies and find solutions for business needs. This role is instrumental in facilitating business involvement, decision making, and coordination of business resources to deliver and implement high quality projects and prepare business area for changes impacting their areas. This role acts as the liaison in understanding a business customer's information or process needs and carrying that message back to a more technically oriented Business Intelligence Analyst.

The BA will work multiple requests/projects simultaneously. The BA will work toward and demonstrate an increasing level of knowledge in overall data applications, functionality, data process flows, database structures, data integrity and consistency, and will be knowledgeable about the assigned areas of the business in general.

Making an Impact:

· Work with Director of HR Tech and Analytics to grow knowledge of the business and supporting dashboard applications and data technologies to provide alternative solutions and recommendations to fulfill business requirements.

· Analyze HR data including employee demographics, turnover, recruitment metrics, and performance evaluations to identify trends and patterns. Partner on recommendations and proactively support business decisions and processes.

· Gather requirements for dashboard creation, standardize documentation, maintain data definitions current, and alternative methods to audit and standardize our data.

· Document Dashboard business requirements and functional specifications for the BI Analyst; work toward becoming the Subject Matter Expert for the Dashboards and business processes.

· Assisting in Dashboard QA and UAT functional testing efforts, ensuring business requirements are delivered as expected; facilitate UAT with release documentation, test scripts and training; respond to users’ questions and issues and track responses

· Create a cohesive partnership with the P&C Leaders to understand the data needs, KPIs, Success measures etc.

Sharing Expertise:

· Act as liaison between technical and non-technical resources.

· Attending meetings that will facilitate understanding of HR data business needs and translate those into technical requirements.

· Partner with HR Tech analysts to understand data from systems and reporting capabilities.

· Work with Global Data team to gain efficiency leveraging existing global infrastructure technologies such as snowflake.

· Partner very closely with BI Analyst in the building and deployment of dashboard updates.

Gaining Exposure:

· Primary contact for HR Leaders for any dashboard needs.

· Act as a representative of P&C Analytics ensuring great dashboard experience

· Ability to influence decision making through trends analysis and thought partnership of data best practices.

Your Typical Day:

· Translate dashboard business needs into requirements for BI Analyst.

· Review current projects, tasks and priorities and manage to ensure on-time delivery

· Confer with team members on status updates and provide support where needed.

· Attend meetings on current and new projects

· Assist in testing for new releases

· Data mapping and documentation

· Data validation

· Miscellaneous tasks as required

· Other accountabilities as assigned

What you’ll bring with you

AKA candidate requirements:

• Tenure: 2 or more years of HR Data Business Analyst related experience

• Strong understanding of HR data and HR employee lifecycle processes (talent acquisition, talent development, workforce planning, DE&I, employee listening, etc.)

• Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, documentation strategies in HR related data projects.

• Knowledge of quality assurance and user acceptance testing practices and methodologies.

• Experience with BI tools and HR Data structures.

We also look for individuals with these capabilities:

• Experience in PowerBI tools

• Experience with Snowflake
