Job Purpose: Under the CIO's guidance, this position is responsible for the planning, implementation and maintenance of essential infrastructure systems. This is a technical, hands-on management role involving research, planning, implementation, and support of security and technology systems, while leading a team of System Administrators and helpdesk technicians to maintain stable and secure systems.

Essential Job Functions:

Supervises the daily activities, coordinates resources, and sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion.
Leads definition and standardization of service desk management and support processes for the IT team.
Defines measures of operations effectiveness for direct reports.
Manages projects and daily activities of the infrastructure team ensuring timelines and objectives are delivered as expected
Selects and maintains all servers, network infrastructure, telecommunications, and hardware
Responsible for the operation of technology equipment and platforms at datacenters
Manages agency’s infrastructure and related applications including but not limited to servers, storage, virtualization, voice systems, Azure, O365, security platforms and backup solutions.
Ensures security best practices are implemented and revised as needed to maintain the availability, integrity and confidentiality of the information stored on and accessed through the network. (firewalls, access rights, backup systems, account management, vulnerability testing, etc.)
Functions as the technical escalation resource for agency technology platforms
Ensures compliance with all state and federal laws governing our data.
Develops, implements, and continually tests comprehensive security and disaster recovery plans to ensure the Agency’s continuity of operations
Performs special assignments and or projects as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Performs human resources responsibilities for employees which includes onboarding, training, coaching on performance, completes performance reviews and overall employee morale. Recommends hiring, terminations, compensation changes, promotions, corrective action decisions and terminations. Reviews and approves the accurate report of time.
Responsible for ensuring that personal actions, and actions of employees supervised, comply with the policies, regulations, and laws applicable to the program funders, contracts, and CFI business.

Required Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure and Credentials: (Where appropriate, education and/or experience may be substituted)
Minimum Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in MIS or related discipline. (Associates degree and 10 years’ experience in a technical role with progressive responsibility will be considered)
Minimum Required Experience: Minimum of ten years’ experience in related field including experience leading and developing staff members, performing jobs of varying responsibility .

Knowledge – Skills – Abilities:
Working knowledge of cybersecurity standards and frameworks such as Soc2 and NIST 800-53
Staff Management, relationship building, teamwork
Strong project management skills required to provide structure, direction and timelines
Background in managing storage solutions, backup disaster recovery solutions, computer and telecom system
Proficient with Windows Servers and all FISMO roles (Windows 2012-2019)
Proficient with Azure, EntraID, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy
Knowledge and understanding of virtualization and Hyper converged Infrastructure
Knowledge of networking solutions to include Cisco and Meraki
ITIL process and technology infrastructure best practice approaches
Knowledge of Intune, SCCM and/or other imaging technologies
Strong background in various aspects and components of the security infrastructure, including cybersecurity concepts, real-time intrusion detection/prevention, DMZ’s and firewalls.
Physical Requirements, Visual Acuity, and Work Conditions:
Physical Requirements: Able to constantly lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing 30 lbs. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
Visual Acuity: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal.
Working Conditions: None: The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions. Work is completed in a group office setting.
