JOB REQUIREMENTS: Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the upkeep and repair of machinery, equipment, and facilities. They diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical problems, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure that equipment operates efficiently and safely. Responsibilities Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facilities to identify and address potential problems before they occur. Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose and repair mechanical breakdowns, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. Installation and Modification: Install, modify, and relocate machinery and equipment as needed. Safety Compliance: Ensure that all equipment and facilities comply with safety regulations and standards. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections. Collaboration: Work closely with other maintenance team members and operations personnel to ensure efficient and effective operations. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Technical or vocational training in maintenance or a related field Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Experience with various types of machinery and equipment Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures Ability to work independently and as part of a team Physical fitness to perform tasks that require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods Additional Skills (Preferred) Certification in maintenance or a related field Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) Knowledge of welding, fabrication, and machining techniques Work Environment Maintenance Mechanics typically work in a variety of settings, including industrial plants, manufacturing facilities, and commercial buildings. They may be exposed to noise, dust, chemicals, and hazardous materials. Cut and weld metal to repair broken metal parts, fabricate new parts, or assemble new equipment. Enter codes and instructions to program computer-controlled machinery. Demonstrate equipment functions and features to machine operators.
