FTE: 1.000000 Shift: Shift 1 Job Summary: The Licensed Practical Nurse Lead is a healthcare professional and an essential member of the patient-centered ambulatory clinical team. This individual is responsible for pre-visit planning, standard rooming responsibilities, assisting with procedures, discharge instructions and other duties as assigned. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is instrumental in helping the patient feel at ease while collaborating with the provider throughout the patient\'s visit. In addition, the LPN lead supports the manager with oversight of daily operations for the department(s). Responsibilities may include staff scheduling, coordination of daily assignments, evaluation and planning of exam room utilization, monitoring staff education and compliance requirements, involvement in project management that supports the service line initiatives, and coordination of provider support during clinic hours. The LPN may be required to cross train and float as needed to maintain optimal clinic operations and other duties as assigned. EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an ambulatory setting is required. Prior professional formal or informal leadership experience preferred. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing is required. LICENSURE DESCRIPTION: Current LPN licensure by the state of Wisconsin Department of Regulation and Licensing. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
