JOB REQUIREMENTS: Description Job Summary for Loan Servicing/Collections Assistant: Provides departmental support by understanding and processing loan maintenance and documentation accurately and according to departmental and/or regulatory standards. Provides superior customer service utilizing all available resources to effectively and efficiently address and resolve all external and internal issues and inquiries. Loan Servicing/Collections Assistant must have a basic knowledge of the essential duties and responsibilities within the Loan Servicing/Collections Department, along with experience in successfully performing these tasks and responsibilities. Duties and responsibilities for Loan Servicing/Collections Assistant: Maintains a basic knowledge of WSB\'s Core Processing System, Products and Services, Policies, Procedures and Regulatory Requirements Process payoffs, partial release payments, loan payments and return loan payments. Performs maintenance in bank\'s core processing system. Review original loan files for the required documents to remain in the file for the life of the loan. Reviews various scheduled reports, as assigned, for exceptions, errors, auditing and/or to perform maintenance or monetary transactions. Images and/or indexes various loan documents into the Bank\'s document management system for storage. Thoroughly and efficiently work assigned collection queues to maximize outbound call volume, contact rate, and documenting payment arrangements for past due loans. Effectively and professionally communicates with borrowers; verbally and in writing; making suitable payment arrangements to bring loan into a \"current\" status as well as Maintain/Document accurate accounts of all communication and correspondence with customers. Ability to deal with the difficult customer and unusual situations independently, while understanding when it is appropriate to include another level of decision making into the process. Customer Service Follows up and responds in a professional manner to both internal and external customer inquiries received via phone, email, mail and facsimile with accurate information and/or resolution. Follows up with internal & external customers as well as third parties for documents and/or funds to complete various loan transactions. Displays business maturity in all intrapersonal communications when preparing and responding to inquiries. Leadership Assists co-workers by providing training and direction with customer inquiries, procedures, projects and general loan related questions. Assists Loan Servicing Manager, as needed. Other duties may be assigned. Qualifications for Loan Servicing/Collections Assistant: Experience Required 1-3 years experience in a bank operations and/or lending operations capacity with some collection experience.
