Job Summary The IS Automation Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing automated frameworks that ensure data accuracy, consistency and integrity across various sources and platforms, as well as training and supporting users in adoption of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and other automation needs. This position seamlessly integrates validation checks into data pipelines, swiftly detects, and analyzes anomalies, and reports findings to stakeholders. In collaboration with data scientists, analysts and engineers, this position refines validation processes, evaluates, and implements cutting-edge tools, and maintains thorough documentation. Ensuring compliance with industry regulations, this position remains updated on the latest in data validation trends, guaranteeing that processes are both state-of-the-art and compliant with necessary standards. Essential Responsibilities Design, develop and maintain automation frameworks for validating data as it moves through various stages of the pipeline, ensuring data quality and consistency. Implement validation checks to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness as it progresses from ingestion to consumption. Utilize advanced automation tools and methodologies to enhance the validation processes, aiming to minimize manual verification and ensuring data reliability. Collaborate with data engineers to understand data pipelines and design validation checks that complement and ensure the integrity of these pipelines. Work with Information Systems teams, business data analysts, and other data consumers to understand their data consumption needs, and design validation tests that ensure their requirements are met accurately.
