JOB REQUIREMENTS: Director of FinTech and Assistant Professor of Practice - Finance, Spring 2025 The AIM Fintech Program is a dynamic, forward-thinking initiative committed to delivering high-quality, modular learning experiences. Our unique mission is to empower individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in the rapidly evolving business landscape. Our modular learning courses provide a firm foundation for FinTech students in full-stack learning leveraging Artificial Intelligence (especially generative and agentic AI) to train data science, data engineering, programming, automation, machine learning, and more, all grounded in valuation and applications for business that places humans in the loop (humans first). We\'re not just about education but about creating a world-class leader in disruptive fundamental valuation and value creation. Duties and Responsibilities The primary responsibility of the AIM FinTech Director is to manage the AIM FinTech program and teach courses for AIM FinTech students. A secondary responsibility is to develop and teach content in the College of Business focused on applying disruptive AI ethics and regulatory technologies. A third responsibility is to manage and oversee student AIM student competitions and other applied learning offerings. Managing the program includes keeping the program curriculum current, supervising and administering the student-run digital asset fund, advising and mentoring AIM FinTech students, and interviewing student candidates to select students to join the program annually. The standard load for an Assistant Professor of Practice is 24 credits. The director is responsible for teaching 21 credits of content per year and may be adjusted per college teaching load policy and departmental needs in future years. Of this teaching content, it is expected between 12 and 18 credits per year will be taught as AIM FinTech courses, some of which will be jointly offered as primary offerings for freshmen or finance elective courses. Other courses may be taught as needed on a variety of topics including AI and finance. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Masters Degree preferred or substantial progress toward the terminal degree. Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities The ideal candidate will have: A master\'s in finance from an AACSB-accredited institution At least seven years of experience having worked in all subsequent fields: data analytics, data engineering, data science, and AI engineering Experience teaching data engineering, VBA, programming, and valuation within a Fintech program at the university level Experience developing courses with a Fintech major or concentration at the university level Experience helping to create and launch a startup in the data space Experience designing, building, and managing teams of data engineers and data scientists building AI systems for large-scale organizations Certifications in areas such as AI and ML, Python for Data Science, Time Series analysis, LangChain, and NLP At least one publication in the AI space A demonstrated dedication to students and student learning Please Visit Marquette University\'s Website for a full list of knowledge, skills and abilities.
